EAGLE Literacy Program in Osage
The public is invited to the Osage Public Library for a special program for three-to five-year old children and their parents on Friday, October 10.
The Osage Public Library will sponsor a "Lunch at the Library" beginning at 12 noon in conjunction with the EAGLE program. Preschoolers and their parents wishing to participate should bring a sack lunch and the library will provide fruit kabobs and juice. Following lunch, Exploring Avenues for Getting Literate Early (EAGLE) will present The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
The program includes active participation from children during the reading of the story and hands-on activities afterward. Each family will receive a free paperback copy of The Very Hungry Caterpillar to take home. Siblings are welcome to attend with their families! This program is free and preregistration is not required. The EAGLE Program is made possible through the Empowerment project of Floyd, Mitchell, and Chickasaw Counties.
