First-ever Prom and Bridal Show in Osage this weekend
The first Mitchell County Prom and Bridal Show will take place Saturday, January 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the new Cedar River Complex Regional Event Center located on the Mitchell County Fair Grounds.
The event will feature over thirty vendors. A majority of the vendors are located within Mitchell County. A fashion show will be held at 1 p.m. The show will feature bridal gowns, prom dresses, tuxes, flowers, catering, entertainment, and travel and wedding party transportation options and more.
"With the availability of an event center, it is now easier to have shows such as these to promote Osage and surrounding community businesses," said Wendy Hueton, Executive Director of the Osage Chamber of Commerce. "When the planning first started, I didn't think we would have enough vendors for a Prom and Bridal Show. But after consulting with the Event Center employees, the list of possible vendors was more than adequate for the event."
"This show is a win-win for not only the Chamber and Cedar River Complex, but also for area businesses and residents. It will help promote local businesses as well as provide an opportunity for the public to come and see the new Cedar River facility. This event will allow attendees to see that Mitchell County can offer just about everything needed for proms or weddings."
Hueton continued, "I would also like to mention that on March 21 & 22, a Home and Outdoor Show will also be held at the Event Center. The event is being sponsored by the Osage Chamber of Commerce. An information/registration form will be mailed out soon."
